Houseplants enter a state of dormancy during the winter months, and since spring is around the corner, they're ready to wake back up! Here are a few spring maintenance tips to consider this season:
Feeding time - Fertilizer is a good way to provide supplemental nutrients to help your plants get the most out of the growing season. Any fertilizer brand will do fine, the key is to remember that less is more when feeding.
Trim & prune - Focus your plant's energy on new growth by clipping away any yellow/browning leaves and pruning back unruly stems that have not yet bloomed. You can also trim and reshape the edges of your leaves to give your plants a healthy and a refreshed look.
Repotting - This only needs to happen once every 1-2 years, or when your plant looks to be outgrowing its pot. That said, spring is a great time to refresh your plant's soil.
A little maintenance goes a long way. Help your plant capitalize on this growing season! If you have any additional questions regarding spring maintenance for your indoor plants, email us anytime firstname.lastname@example.org
